Kate Macleod




Kate was born and brought up in Truro, Nova Scotia. She attained a History degree at Dalhousie University in Halifax, N.S. and attained her Masters of Teaching degree at Griffith University, Southport, Australia. In addition to these post-secondary achievements she also attended the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. As well as her long history as an artist she has worked as an art teacher in Halifax Public Schools.


Kate's unique style in painting landscapes is what distinguishes her as an outstanding artist. Her unusual twist in perceiving nature adds beauty and interest to her painted scenes.


As well as her original art she has been commissioned to do paintings for her clients and friends. These commissioned paintings include such subjects as  summer cottages, homes, boats, and favourite people and scenery.
